TIBA Meetings?
Weekly Meetings…
TIBA members meet weekly at 9am on Thursday mornings at FIT4ALL, The Health, Wellness and Beauty Centre in Punta Prima, Torrevieja. These meetings are a great way to meet other like minded business people, an opportunity to network and participate in the important business of growing the Costa’s best business group.
Meeting Format…
The ethos of TIBA is a friendly and personal group of people all dedicated to providing quality services to their customers and helping, where possible, other members promote and develop their business. Our meetings are not prescriptive, formal events, they are friendly and informative – why not come along and find out for yourself?
Do I have to Come Every Week…
Members that fully participate in the group and attend most of the meetings find that they get the most out of their membership. The meetings are the best way to network and share your experiences and also learn from the experiences of fellow members; however it is certainly not compulsory to attend every meeting.
What Is Involved In Joining TIBA?
Prove You Are Legal
The reputation of TIBA is paramount, we will not allow any business to join unless they are willing to allow our committee to review their legal paperwork. In order to join our group you will need to bring along your company or autonomo paperwork that proves you are a legally registered business here in Spain.
Complete the Paperwork
Like all organisations we have our own paperwork, we do try to keep it to a minimum! All new members complete a membership form in order to join the group, part of the agreement is that you will do business according to the terms and conditions of a TIBA member.
Come to at least 2 meetings
We ask all prospective members to come long to two meetings before making the decision to join our group, it gives both us and you and the other members time to get to know each other. It gives you a good idea of what TIBA is about and whether you want to get involved, we love active members and will encourage you to get involved in all the TIBA activities both business and social!
Get Voted In
Every TIBA member is voted in by a minimum of two current members, once you have attended two meetings and have made the decision to join, two of your fellow members will be asked to vote you into the group.
Pay Your Membership Fees
TIBA, like all organisations, exists through the enthusiasm and help of its members and through subscriptions, the annual fee to be a TIBA member is 200 euros (plus IVA), of course all legal businesses are able to offset these fees against their taxes as a company expense. All fees paid into TIBA go towards promoting the group and its members.
Is TIBA Just a Business Group?
Charity Work
The TIBA members believe in putting back into the community and that is why each year we choose a charity to support. In 2012 we supported the Lions Club, a very prestigious and well-known local and international charity http://www.torreviejacostalions.org
Due to the crisis there are now many families locally without any money to feed themselves and in some cases without any roof over their head, and this charity is doing their upmost to help these people. For these reasons, in 2013, we have decided to give our support to Reach Out http://www.reachouttorrevieja.com/
Social Events
The TIBA members not only network at the weekly meetings, but we also like to get together several times a year for a meal or some sort of social event.
